The RS232-RS485 converter is designed to convert signals between an RS232 interface and an RS485 interface. It is often used for CCTV, ACCESS CONTROL and industrial applications. In 2-wire “Half-Duplex” (RS485) mode, the converter can control the direction of transmission on the bus by means of the data flow. In this case, the converter will automatically determine the bus reversal based on the direction of the data being transmitted. This way, it can be used to connect equipment where management is not done by flow control. The maximum data flow rate is 115.2Kbit/s.
