The FCM-1-REL release control module must be armed with a pair of signals to activate. It will then enter a 3-second window waiting for a pair of acknowledgment signals. If no acknowledgment is received, the module will automatically reset. It also monitors the wiring to the connected load and reports the status to the panel as NORMAL, OPEN, or SHORT. The module has two pairs of output termination points available for fault-tolerant wiring and a panel-controlled LED indicator. The module can be connected to one 24 VDC solenoid or up to two 12 VDC solenoids (in series). To ensure proper operation, this module should only be connected to a compatible Notifier system control panel.

The FCM-1-REL release module is specifically designed for fire suppression release applications in FlashScan® systems. Power to the solenoid is passed through the module for full-time monitoring and supervision.
