The i3™ Series smoke detectors with siren and/or relay represent a significant technological advancement in conventional detection, boasting rich features for simple installation, instant inspection, and intelligence to reject false alarms.
 
All i3 Series detectors are equipped with automatic soiling sensitivity compensation and mathematical curve matching algorithms. These algorithms minimize the incidence of false alarms caused by short-term effects such as electromagnetic induction and/or radio frequency interference, and by long-term effects such as dust accumulation. When connected to the 2WMOD2 Loop Test and Maintenance Module or an i3 protocol-compatible panel (i3 Ready™), 2-wire i3 detectors will generate a remote maintenance signal when a detector enters a cleaning and/or freeze-fault condition when the ambient temperature surrounding the detector drops below 5°C. The sensitivity level of any i3 detector is measured using the SENSRDR inspection module, which displays the numerical sensitivity value expressed as percentage of obscuration per foot in just a few seconds.
