The Honeywell 3GL communicator is Honeywell's newest communicator. It supports the LYNX Touch keypads, the L5200, and the L7000. The 3GL, on the other hand, will work with both units and communicates via the 4G network.

Installing the communicator is very simple. Simply open the LYNX Touch system from the top by pressing the tabs and pulling it open. Insert the included circuit board into the 3GL (no matter how long the metal prongs are pushed firmly into the communicator itself). On the left side of the circuit board panel, there is a small insert on the other side of the prongs that the communicator can fit into. Simply align the prongs, insert the unit, and use the included screws to tighten it down.

This unit can be installed alongside the L5100-WIFI, which fits into the edge connector on the right side of the panel, as well as the L5100-ZWave unit, which fits into the edge connector on the left side. This unit, when installed with the 3GL, would fit underneath the unit on the left side of the circuit board. This unit cannot be installed alongside the iLP5 Ethernet communicator.
