Stabilizer for Tower Reinforced with STZ90G Section.

A stabilizer, or anti-torsion arm as it is also known, is an element designed to hold the tower at a certain height to prevent movement due to strong wind currents.
Unlike a flange (which is attached at one point on each side of the tower), a stabilizer is attached at two points per side, meaning there are 6 attachment points at the same height, which prevents excessive torsion in the tower and improves structural rigidity.
When is a stabilizer installed?
A stabilizer is not a mandatory part of a typical tower assembly. A stabilizer is generally installed when:
- There is a large towing surface antenna (equal to or greater than 1m in diameter).
- When there are concentrations of winds due to the relief or conditions of the area.
- In high-precision wireless links.
Likewise, it is recommended to replace the cable tie installation when adding a stabilizer, since the more cables we attach to the tower, the heavier it will be and the more load we will be delivering to the ground.
