The Maximal75F Dual Power Supply distributes and switches power for access control systems and accessories. It converts a 120VAC 60Hz input into sixteen (16) independently controlled 12VDC and 24VDC fused protected outputs. These fail-safe/fail-secure power outputs can be converted to dry 'C' contacts. The outputs are activated by an open collector receiver or normally open dry trigger input from an access control system, keypad, push button, REX PIR, etc. The units will route power to a variety of access control hardware devices including: Mag Locks, Electric Strikes, Magnetic Work Holders, etc. The FACP interface enables emergency outputs, alarm monitoring, or can be used to activate other auxiliary devices. The fire alarm disconnect feature is individually selectable for any or all sixteen (16) outputs. All interconnection equipment must be UL listed.
Entrance
- 120VAC 60Hz, 8.0A input.
Power supply input options:
- a) Two (2) common power inputs for ACM8 and locking power (factory installed).
- b) Two (2) isolated power inputs (external power supply required), (current is determined by the connected power supply, not to exceed a maximum of 10 A total).
- Sixteen (16) access control system activation inputs.
Input options:
- a) Sixteen (16) normally open (NO) inputs.
- b) Sixteen (16) open collector inputs.
- c) Any combination of the above.
Exit
- 12VDC and 24VDC outputs.
- Maximum current output Options:
- A) 24VDC @ 9.6A plus 12VDC @ 9.3A.
- Sixteen (16) independently controlled exits.
Exit options:
- a) Sixteen (16) fail-safe and/or fail-safe power outlets.
- b) Sixteen (16) form 'C' rated 5A relay outputs.
- c) Any combination of the above.
- Sixteen (16) auxiliary power outlets (unswitched) (outlets are rated at 2.5 A).
- Filtered and electronically regulated outputs (built-in power supply).
- Thermal and short circuit protection with automatic reset.
- Fuse ratings
- Power Supply Input Fuse Rating:
- eFlow104NB - 6.3A / 250V.
- eFlow102NB - 5A / 250V.
- The main fuse on the ACM8 cards is rated at 10 A. The fused outputs are rated at 3.5 A each.
Supervision
- AC fault supervision ('C' contacts).
- The notification trigger can be selected for 30 seconds (factory set) or 2 hours.
- Battery failure and presence supervision ('C' contacts).
- Low-power shutdown. Turns off the DC output terminals if the battery voltage drops below 71-73% for 12V units and 70-75% for 24V units (depending on the power supply). Prevents deep battery discharge.
Characteristics
- Fire alarm disconnection (latching or non-latching) can be individually selected for one or all sixteen (16) outputs. - Fire alarm disconnection input options:
a) Normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC) dry contact input.
b) Polarity reversal input of the FACP signaling circuit.
- The alarm output relay indicates that the FACP input (contact form 'C' rated @ 1A 28VDC) is activated.
Backup battery
- Built-in charger for sealed lead acid or gel batteries.
- Automatic switch to standby battery when AC fails.
- Zero voltage drop when the unit switches to battery backup (AC fail condition). - With battery backup capability. - Battery not included. - Suggested batteries: PL4.512 / PL712 / PL912.
Visual indicators
- Red LEDs indicate that the outputs are triggered (relays are energized).
- The green LED indicates that the FACP disconnection is triggered.
