SafeCable Linear Heat Detection (LHD)

It uses advanced polymers and a newly developed alloy to provide exceptional detection, durability, and design flexibility. At the core of SafeCable is a twisted pair of extremely low-resistance tri-metallic conductors, which are sheathed with new, advanced thermal polymers. These polymers are chemically engineered to decompose at specific, fixed temperatures, allowing the twisted conductors to make contact and initiate an alarm.

Fire detection in cable trays

Linear Heat Detection (LHD) is a highly effective and low-cost solution for protecting cable trays. Flexible Cable LHD can be installed inside the tray, with the cables following the exact same path while remaining in close proximity to the cables for rapid detection. Electrical cables lying in cable trays may be high voltage and can break over time and with use. Over time, the cables can overheat, causing fires.
