Optional interface for single-mode fiber optic networking

Honeywell's SK-FML (For Multimode Fiber) and SK-FSL (For Single-Mode Fiber) are plug-in modules for fiber loops. They act as a channel for transmitting and receiving communications with the Honeywell Silent Knight SK-NIC (Network Interface Card).

The SK-FML module allows multimode fiber to connect network nodes (panels). It has ST connectors and allows a maximum attenuation of 8 dB with 62.5/125 micrometer cable. The SK-FSL module allows single-mode fiber to connect network nodes (panels). It has LC connectors and allows a maximum attenuation of 30 dB with 9/125 micrometer cable.

Each fiber module can transmit (TX) or receive (RX) over a fiber optic cable to the SK-NIC. Up to two fiber optic modules can be added to the SK-NIC, and both cards can be configured in the same configuration.
Both modules are listed to ANSI/UL 864, 9th Edition.
