It is recommended for integrations that have battery housing and other equipment that can generate gases (internal pressure) in the cabinet.

Vent plugs can reduce or even completely eliminate the adverse effects of humidity in the environment. Water droplets on the bottom of the cabinet are normal, but the inherent damage is negligible thanks to the presence of a vent plug.
