Use in outdoor applications such as: Poles, telecommunication towers, or walls, ideal for heavy-duty outdoor power cable joints.

  • Alternating current 110 Vac maximum 3 Amp.
  • Direct current 12 Vdc / 24 Vdc maximum 10 Amp.

Installation process:

1. The cabinet cover is removed and both clamping glands are loosened.
2. It must be ensured that the system is not energized.
3. Both cables are inserted into the cabinet body, taking care not to damage the packaging.
4. Each cable is stripped and the horseshoe-type terminal is placed.
5. The terminal screws are loosened and each corresponding terminal is placed one by one and the screw is adjusted for each terminal.
6. Before closing the cabinet, check that there is no contact between the two lines.
7. The glands are adjusted and the cabinet cover is placed.

Highlights:

• It is recommended to use horseshoe type terminals to ensure correct installation (do not use direct cable on terminal).
• The cable normally used is heavy duty cable with 3 internal wires of the mentioned gauge range.
• Termination or crimping of horseshoe-type terminals must be performed after the cable is introduced into the cabinet.
