The VXI series is our best-selling outdoor intrusion detection sensor range. It provides highly reliable entry detection with a range of up to 12 meters for residential and commercial applications. The sensor, which must be mounted at a height of 1.2 meters, includes two PIRs that provide a dual-layer detection area. The sensor will only be activated when both layers are activated. VXI sensors also feature digital analysis to prevent false alarms. They are waterproof (IP55 rated) and have double conductive shielding to reduce the impact of sunlight. The VXI-AM is the hardwired model that features anti-masking.

Dual-layer digital detection: Both the upper and lower detection zones must be crossed to generate an alarm. Detections are analyzed independently to filter out misleading coincidences. This technology virtually eliminates detections of smaller animals on the premises.
