The NC-500 ( NETcat® Pro2 ) is a digital cable mapping and verification tool. Operated by a backlit touchscreen, this tester not only tests for cable continuity and proper pair assignment, but also measures the length of multi-pair, LAN, or coaxial cables using advanced, high-speed TDR (Time Domain Reflectometry). It also determines if network service is available up to Gigabit speed and displays if Power over Ethernet is being supplied.

When used with the NC-510 accessory kit containing seven expansion remote test modules, the NETcat Pro can uniquely test eight coaxial or twisted-pair connectors from a central location. Using a fingertip or the built-in stylus, the display can be used to control and display a variety of tests, from cable mapping fault finding to TDR length measurement. The display can be configured to English, Spanish, German, or French.
