DCM - Magnetic Wireless Contact and Universal Transmitter
The DCM is a universal magnetic wireless contact and transmitter with FastLink technology, designed for FORCE series alarm systems. FastLink communication is encrypted using 128-bit AES encryption to provide a high level of security.
To use the DCM contact, the prior installation of a wireless receiver is required.
The DCM has a modern design and is battery-operated. The detector is placed on doors and/or windows, and when these are opened and the detector is separated from the magnet, an event is wirelessly transmitted to the control panel.
The DCM's universal transmitter can be used to transmit events from a normally closed (NC) contact device, such as a PIR (passive infrared) detector. The device connects to the DCM's terminal blocks and reports to the control panel as an independent zone. The magnetic contact can be overridden, allowing the DCM to be used solely as a universal transmitter.
The DCM reports a low battery condition to the control panel and also features a tamper switch that alerts when the detector is opened or removed from the wall. The detector transmits a test event every 15 minutes. Its LED illuminates to indicate any alarm transmission and when the battery is low.
For information on how to register (enroll) the device, refer to the FORCE alarm system installation guide (P/N: 4410459).
