Its main function is to provide connection points for the different applications mounted on a telecommunications tower, which are intended to protect and divert to ground any unwanted electrical discharge that could damage some of this mission-critical equipment.

The connection is made using ground wires, which are electrical conductors spliced ​​through mechanical connectors, so that they must reach each terminal making a parallel connection.
