The OPTEX WXS series is a family of outdoor SHIELD sensors based on years of proven experience. The WXI series uses analog and digital technologies to detect approaching intruders before they enter your protected area. With its wide 180° field of view and the ability to adapt its configuration to your premises' environment, the WXS series will provide an effective solution for new and existing security systems.

Individual alarm outputs


Installing a WXI detects two detectors because it triggers alarm signals on both the left and right sides individually. Therefore, it's useful for activating PTZ, directional recognition, and switching detection patterns from day to night with a single CP.

Individual sensitivity adjustment


The detection sensitivity can be set to High, Medium and Low by using the left and right switches individually.

Self-learning IR digital anti-masking function


WXI detects objects covering the lens surface. The digital IR anti-masking function optimizes the trigger level of the masking-generated problem outputs depending on the lens surface condition. A well-calibrated setting for both the IR LED's emission and reception levels, which fluctuate with temperature, contributes to stable anti-masking.

SMDA logic (Super Multi Dimension Analysis)


By analyzing detection patterns and environmental information, SMDA improves immunity to various noise factors, such as weather changes and vegetation, and can distinguish between the cause of nuisance false alarms and genuine intrusions.

Area masking blind


Using the sliding area masking rotary shutter, the size of the detection areas can be changed.

Area masking plate


Unwanted detection areas can be masked with the included area masking plate.
