DYNAMIC CHANNEL SELECTION (DCS)

With dynamic channel selection, the 550 systems constantly optimize the operating channel to maximize link reliability and performance. In response to the radio interference environment, the PTP 550 will search for the clearest spectrum and seamlessly move to it. The customer benefits from the best available performance with limited spectrum in the most challenging environments.

RF BANDS

Operation in the 4.9 to 6.2 GHz band (the frequencies

and allowed bands are dictated by each country's regulations)

CHANNEL BONDING

Each channel can have an independent frequency and channel width, providing flexibility in channel selection, band selection, and steering performance requirements. Using two 80 MHz channels achieves 1.36 Gbps.

Point-to-point solution with width
bandwidth of up to 1.36 Gbps in the 5 GHz band

Cambium Networks PTP 550 equipment is designed to build backbone communication channels with a high bandwidth of up to 1.4 Gbps.

The device is based on the 802.11 AC wave 2 chipset and implements Multi User MIMO 4: 4x4 (MU-MIMO 4: 4x4) technology.

PTP550 has a transmitter that operates on two distinct 2x MIMO 2x2 frequency channels, channel widths of 20, 40 and 80 MHz.

Its MU-MIMO technology allows feeding the two channels into a single antenna and different frequency bands, for example 5.3 GHz and 5.6 (80 + 80 MHz) or in an example 4910-6200 MHz (20 + 80 MHz),

without the need for a guard interval, and multiplex two 2x2 MIMO spatial streams. Therefore, the overall throughput of the PTP550 is determined by the aggregation of two independent 2x2 MIMO frequency channels.
