ENCOMPASS System
The Encompass system is designed to power the HyperSpike® line of mass notification loudspeakers. Depending on the specific application, it is capable of generating up to 320 W through each of its ten channels and automatically switching to an optional battery backup if AC power fails. For interface with other equipment, the Encompass system features an audio line input, a user trigger input, and eight sets of contactless outputs that provide equipment status information. A customer interface panel is also installed on which customer-supplied communication electronics can be mounted. Backup system power is available to supply customer equipment.
The Encompass system is designed to self-protect if limited performance is necessary to prevent system failure. Reduced output power may be observed due to low input AC voltage and/or elevated cabinet temperature. See Section 1.6 and the product specification sheet for more details.
