Ethernet and PoE connections restrict cable distances to 100 meters between network ports. To overcome this distance limit, network installers can simply connect a TT-2001EX-POE extender inline with Cat-5e or Cat-6 (outdoor) cable. With the Gigabit PoE Extender, PDs (such as IP security cameras and wireless access points) can be installed at distances greater than 100 meters from each other. By connecting the PoE Extender for every additional 100 meters of cable, both Ethernet and PoE can be extended to 200 meters, depending on the required PD power and power supply. The TT-2001EX-POE does not require an additional power supply, and connected PDs are powered by a single PoE switch or mid-span, simplifying installation. The PoE Extender offers two Gigabit Ethernet ports, which automatically configure for link speed, duplex, and crossover, while maintaining full-speed network performance.
