The CRS305 is a compact yet powerful switch with four SFP+ ports, for up to 10 Gbit/s per port. The device has a 1 Gbit/s copper Ethernet port for management access and two DC connectors for power redundancy. The device is housed in a sleek and compact metal enclosure with no fans for quiet operation.
The device has a dual-boot feature that allows you to choose between two operating systems: RouterOS or SwOS. If you prefer a simplified operating system with only specific features toggled, use SwOS. If you want the ability to use routing and other Layer 3 features on your CRS, use RouterOS. You can select the desired operating system from RouterOS, SwOS, or the RouterBOOT loader settings. The entire feature set comes at a disruptive price, providing the best price/performance ratio on the market.
