The tool is designed to work on multi-fiber jacketed or armored cables. Its primary purpose is to gain mid-span access to fiber optic conductors by cutting the outer jacket or the jacket and armor of existing cables. The tools are designed with a precision-adjustable blade to prevent damage to the fibers.
