PLANET IGT-805AT is an industrial Gigabit media converter that provides non-blocking wire-speed performance and great flexibility for Gigabit Ethernet extension in harsh industrial environments. It is equipped with one 10/100/1000BASE-T RJ45 copper interface and one 100/1000BASE-X SFP optical fiber interface delivered in a rugged IP30 case with redundant power supply system. The IGT-805AT is well suited for applications in surveillance system deployment and for securing wireless control and service in climatically demanding environments with a wide temperature range of -40 to 75 degrees C. With support for 9K jumbo frame function, the IGT-805AT can handle extremely large amounts of data transmission in a secure topology linking to a backbone network or high-power servers.

Fiber optic link capacity enables expansion of network deployment

The IGT-805AT's integrated mini-GBIC SFP slots support dual speeds, offering both 100BASE-FX and 1000BASE-SX/LX SFP (Small Form-Factor Pluggable) fiber optic modules. Administrators can now flexibly select the appropriate SFP transceiver based not only on transmission distance but also on the required transmission speed. The distance can be extended from 550 meters to 2 km (multimode fiber) and up to 10/20/40/60/80/120 kilometers (single-mode fiber or WDM fiber). These are well-suited for applications within distribution and enterprise data centers.

Enhanced smart management features

The IGT-805AT provides auto MDI/MDI-X on its TP port and built-in Link Loss Carry Forward (LFP) function . The LFP function includes Link Loss Carry Forward (LLCF) and Link Loss Return (LLR) , which can immediately alert administrators to link media problems and provide an efficient solution for network monitoring.

• LLCF means that when a device connected to the converter and the TP line loses the link, the fiber port of the converter will disconnect the transmission link.
• LLR means that when a device connected to the converter and the fiber line loses the link, the fiber port of the converter will disconnect the transmission link.

Therefore, the IGT-805AT greatly helps administrators manage the network efficiently.

Environmentally hardened design

The IGT-805AT is equipped with a slim, IP30 metal enclosure for easy deployment in demanding industrial environments. With IP30 industrial enclosure protection, the IGT-805AT provides a high level of immunity against electromagnetic interference and intense electrical surges typically found on plant floors or in sidewalk traffic control cabinets. Operating in a temperature range of -40 to 75 degrees C, the IGT-805AT can be placed in almost any harsh environment. The IGT-805AT also allows DIN rail or wall mounting for efficient use of cabinet space.

Convenient and reliable power system

To enhance operational reliability and flexibility, the IGT-805AT is equipped with two DC power input connectors for redundant power supply installation. It also features a built-in power supply with a wide voltage range (12 to 48 VDC or 24 VAC) for high-availability, worldwide applications requiring dual or backup power inputs.
