This Gigabit Ethernet Transceiver/PoE+ SPD uses a shielded RJ45 connector. Our industrial PoE lightning and surge protection for power spike suppression is part of the ALPU series. The surge protection for Gigabit Ethernet/PoE+ devices in this Transtector SPD component is in the form of a gas discharge tube (GDT). This data line TVSS uses gas discharge tube (GDT) circuitry to protect electronic devices from spikes. Suppression of transient lightning surges and strong electrical spike events for PoE are handled through GDT protection circuitry in the data line SPD. The ALPU-L130 commercial Gigabit Ethernet/PoE+ surge protection device is EN/IEC 60950-1 and UL 497B.
