PLANET GSD-1002M is a 10/100/1000Mbps + 2-port 100/1000X SFP managed desktop switch specially designed to build a reliable full Gigabit backbone to transmit and forward data to the remote network via optical fiber. It provides 8-port 10/100/1000Base-T copper and 2 additional 100/1000Base-X SFP optical fiber interfaces with dual power system. In addition to supporting 20Gbps switching fabric to handle extremely large amounts of video, voice, and important data in a secure topology, the GSD-1002M provides an easy-to-use yet advanced IPv6/IPv4 management interface and abundant L2/L4 switching features. It is the best investment for enterprises/SOHOs expanding or upgrading their network infrastructure.

The GSD-1002M provides high-performance edge service and a plug-and-play design for Fiber to the Desktop (FTTD) solutions. FTTD service is a fiber-optic cabling solution with reliable, scalable, low-cost cabling architectures and long-distance capability. The GSD-1002M supports dual- speed 100Base-FX and 1000Base-SX/LX SFP (Small Form-Factor Pluggable) fiber optic modules to connect to the fiber access point, offering high flexibility for installation in a communications closet or main computer room for SMBs.
